the sea inside.
this movie. I normally wouldn’t agree with what it dealt with (assisted suicide) but it has completely changed my perspective on the subject. Ramón was right: living is a right, but not therefore, an obligation. When a person tries to commit suicide and survive, they are not legally tried for it, are they? It’s the same thing as with assisted suicide. This man was in pain, there was no reason to make him stay under this suffering. Absolutely none. It takes a lot of courage to live in misery, but it takes a lot more courage to snap out of your misery.
However, even though us humans can escape from whatever misery we wish, some situations, like his, escape our hands and our will.
